The private commissions I create are one-off pieces for my clients. This is where I design floral creations that will be placed in a client's home or workplace for a period of time. A fresh flower design will be in place for up to a week, whereas a silk design can be placed in its setting for a number of years. Creating a personalized floral piece or display for a customer is both a challenging and rewarding experience. It's an honor to be trusted with designing something unique that reflects a client's style, transforming it into a beautiful arrangement for their home or workspace, that is going to be with them for a period of time.
Each piece, whether a long and elaborate centerpiece for a dining or boardroom table, a compact arrangement for a dressing table or reception desk, or a grand display for an entrance hall in your home or office, it is tailored to meet the specific needs and preferences of the client. Some customers have a clear vision but need help bringing it to life, while others provide a vase and rely on my creativity to do the rest. It's also fine if you come with no set ideas at all apart from knowing you want me to create something beautiful for you.
The process starts with an initial telephone consultation and photos of the area where the display will be placed. Depending on the brief, I sometimes require a site visit to the client's home or workplace to ensure I have all the information I need to make you the most stunning floral creation. I will discuss your likes and dislikes, the desired aesthetic, and the level of maintenance you are comfortable with. Depending on your preferences, the arrangement might include a mix of fresh and silk flowers.
For instance, for a home I may suggest a large vase filled with silk foliage and silk roses but refreshed weekly with fresh lilies, or a blend of silk flowers and seasonal blooms that are updated throughout the year. The floral world is our meadow.
Regardless of the combination, the outcome is always a bespoke creation, unique to the individual, perfectly suited to the designated space, and manageable within your maintenance preferences. I very much look forward to creating some private commissions for you very soon.
